No matter who you are, where you are, or what you’re struggling with, at The Outback Mind Foundation, we know first-hand how speaking up can help you start to feel better again. Like yourself again. Needing support does not make you weak. Asking for help does not make you less of a man. Struggling with your mental health doesn’t make you crazy or weird. It makes you human. And every now and then, all humans need help from others.

Ongoing Support for Men

If you’re looking for men-specific mental health support, there are two resources that we highly recommend.

TIACS

TIACS offers free and confidential counselling services for truckies, tradies, rural blue-collar workers, and those who care about them. This service is available Australia-wide, for free, no appointment needed. Just call or text any time Monday to Friday, 8 am to 10 pm AEST to have a chat.

MensLine Australia

MensLine Australia is a telephone and online counselling service offering support for Australian men anywhere, anytime. They offer free professional counselling support for men with concerns about mental health, anger management, family violence (using and experiencing), addiction, relationships, stress and wellbeing. You can also access support from them via online chat or video counselling.
