A film about the quiet battles Australian men carry alone

Men don't always talk about what's happening inside. Not to their mates, not to their families, not to anyone. For many Australian men - particularly those in regional and remote communities - struggling in silence has become the default.

“Healing Men's Minds” takes an honest look at why. Featuring NRL legend Darius Boyd alongside everyday men from regional communities across Australia, this powerful and visually striking documentary brings together stories of struggle, turning points, and the kind of change that only comes from finally being heard.

This film doesn't offer easy answers. It offers something better - the truth of what it looks like when a man decides to turn his life around.

ABOUT THIS FILM

Four things “Healing Men's Minds” will help you understand

WHAT THE FILM COVERS

01 —
Why men struggle

The barriers that stop men from seeking help - and why those barriers are especially high for men in regional and remote Australia.

02 —
Real stories, real men

Darius Boyd and everyday men from regional communities share personal accounts of what it felt like to be in their darkest moments - and what finally shifted.

03 —
The turning point

What does it actually take for a man to reach out, open up, and begin to change? This film goes beyond the surface to show what real recovery looks like.

04 —
What's possible

This is not a film about despair. It is a film about what becomes possible when men find the support, the language, and the permission to talk about what's really going on.
